George Arlen Collins, 83, passed away on December 23, 2014 at his home in Portland, Oregon. He was born in Eagle Creek, Oregon to parents Glenn and Hannah Collins. George was a devoted husband and loving father who enjoyed spending time with family, outdoor activities, sunshine, reading, sports and healthy portions of cookies and ice cream. He was a graduate of Willamette University and retired as the Director of Finance for Portland Public Schools.
George was preceded in death by Allen M. Collins, and is survived and missed by his wife, Cheryal Ann Collins; sons Gregory Leigh Collins, Randal Jay Collins, and Christian Roger Miles; daughters Kimberley Gay Hunter and Tiffany Kathreen Felt; grandchildren Desiree Kylie Collins, Jordon Joed Hunter, Alexa Devarae Miles, Truett Emily Felt, Nathan Gregory Collins, Miles Ridgway Felt, and Mareyn Caroline Miles; and sister Glenna McKenzie.
George will be laid to rest privately at Willamette National Cemetery. Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
