Mr. Harold E. Duarte was born January 24, 1916 in Oakland, CA and passed away August 25, 2010 in Vancouver, WA. He worked for thirty years with the city of Portland, and retired as foreman of their road paving dept. He served in the U.S. Army During World War II. Harold was a member of American Legion, N.R.A. and helped form the Oregon chapter of Scuba Divers. He also belonged to University Park Baptist Church. His brother , Stanley Duarte preceeded him in death He is survived by his wife Helen; Daughters Sherry Ann Dawson, Sandra Kay Fuller, and Corrine Jan McKenzie; and his son Melvin Edward Duarte. Harold can be viewed at Skyline Chapel before service time (9:00 – 11:30) on Saturday September 4, 2010. Services will follow.
