Jean Rae Schwartz

Our Mother and Grandmother, Jean Rae was born on April 3, 1928 in Vancouver, Washington to her parents Ralph Allen and Lillian Klinkman Allen. She was thrilled to get her little sister Beverly who was born two years later. After her husband's death, Lillian married Clarence Sample who adopted Jean and Bev as his own and the union gave them their brother Ronald.

While working at the Oregon Journal, Jean met William Schwartz. She and Bill married on September 17, 1950 in a beautiful wedding where Jean wore her sisters wedding dress and the reception hall was filled with Fall colored Mums. They had two sons; David and Richard who kept them busy with church and school activities. Jean's eyes lit up with love whenever she looked at her boys. Dave married Eileen in 1982 and Rick married Janine in 2013 and gave Jean her daughters. She loved being with family; visiting with her Grandkids Taylor (Dave), Rebekah, Joseph and Emily (Rick) and going out to dinner with Dave and Eileen or spending time with Rick and Janine at the beach.

When our Mom made a friend, it was for a lifetime. She loved to laugh. Flowers made her so happy. She wrote greeting cards to keep in touch. She gave all Glory to God. Family filled her heart. Our hearts are broken that our Mom has passed but she has given us memories to last a lifetime. We'll miss you Mom. You're with the Shepherd. Rest now.
