Jeanne Freeman passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019, at Legacy Hopewell House in Portland, Oregon. She was born in New York City on June 15, 1946; the youngest of three children of John and Marion Kromer.
She married Tim Freeman on June 17, 1977. Jeanne was passionate about caring for others. A tireless volunteer, philanthropist, and hostess, she was an example of the kindness and compassion called for in Ephesians 4:32.
Jeanne is survived by Tim, their son Steve and his wife Lisa, granddaughters Jennifer, Stephanie, Ashley and Nicole, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.
Jeanne’s memorial service will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Oswego, Oregon on May 17th at 11:00 am. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Jeanne now rests in peace at Skyline Memorial Gardens.
Jeanne requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Mt. Angel Abbey and Seminary. 1 Abbey Drive, St. Benedict, OR 97373 or a donation to the American Cancer Society.
