Jessie M. Rogers Krieger

Jessie married Victor Krieger on February 20, 1943 in Portland. The two were introduced to one another by mutual friends. Following their marriage, Jessie and Victor moved to a home in the Beaumont – Wilshire neighborhood in Northeast Portland on Campaign Street. The two were blessed with 2 daughters; Trudy Lynne and Terry Lee.

Jessie was predominantly a homemaker until her girls were grown.

Jessie is predeceased by her husband Victor; parents; and all eight of her siblings.

Jessie is survived by her daughters Trudy Lane and Terry Reuther; brother-in-law Fred Krieger; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Jessie

Daughter of the Wyoming plain

Chin up, head held high,

Jessie takes no thought of pain

It is simply not her style.

Instead she dons a classy suit

And wears a gracious smile.

She’s always there to lend a hand

And give with all her heart

She often carries heavy loads, with no one to help her cart.

She’s the “can do” gal, no job too tough for Jess

She can put in a door, tile the floor,

or sew a grand ball dress.

Trudy and Terry knew her mother’s touch,

Vic, a wife’s sweet caress

To know Jessie Krieger

Is to be by heaven blest.

A funeral service will be held at Skyline Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, Oregon, on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at 11am.

Jessie will be privately laid to rest in Skyline Memorial Gardens.
