John B. McLeod

John Bryan McLeod was born on November 21st, 1924 to parents John (Sr.) and Blanche McLeod in Portland, Oregon. He served our country during WWII in the Marine Corp. from 1943 to 1946 in communications; traveling to both Guam and China.

In the early 1950's John was a fireman for the Portland Fire Department, he then developed an interest in construction. He went on to become a prominent apartment home builder in the Portland Metro Area. He also built and owned resorts on the Oregon Coast.

In 1991 he met the love of his life, Lynda May, whom he spent the rest of his life with. They had many unforgettable adventures together. John and Lynda enjoyed wintering in the Palm Springs area, hiking and traveling. His other great joy was spending time with his family and friends; he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Everyone who knew John loved him and he will be dearly missed.

John is survived by his loving wife, Lynda; daughters Shelley, Suzanne and son in law, Robert; son John Jr. and daughter in law, Trisha; grandchildren Matthew, Rilie and Cooper; and great grandchildren Matthew Jr. and Aidan. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra; and brother, Bill McLeod.
