Judith Nelson Flora

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday September 16, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 10390 S.W. Canyon Road in Beaverton for Judy N. Flora, who passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2016 at age 71. Mrs. Flora was born December 25, 1944 in Inglewood, CA, to John and Elizabeth Nelson. Judy lived in the Portland area for 36 years, working for the American Baptist Churches Regional Office for past 15 years. Prior to that she worked at Tektronix for 20 years. Described as one of the most gentle and loving human beings to ever grace our world, Judy enjoyed family activities, vacationing in Hawaii and Disneyland with her children and grandchildren, trips to local Oregon beaches, and spending time with loved ones. Judy was truly a bright light in everything she did. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Flora. Judy was the precious and loving mother to Anne Marie (Jason) of West Linn, OR and David (Sara) of Sherwood, OR. She delighted in being a loving Nana to her five grandchildren; Jarrod, Warren, Olivia, Emma and Josh. Her brother, James W. Nelson of Albany, OR and three nieces and one nephew also survive her. Judy shared her strong faith in the Lord with the congregation of St. Matthew Lutheran Church for 36 years.
