Judith Elaine Waggoner

Judy passed into the arms of her Loving Heavenly Father on Feb. 27th, 2025. Her daughter and husband were with her at her time of passing.

Born as the youngest of three daughters to Charles and Hazel Engel in the Dalles, OR., Judy was raised in the Christian faith, growing up in Dufur, OR., where she attended grade school and high school. She graduated from Dufur High School and was the Valedictorian of the 1959 graduating class. She continued friendships with many classmates through her lifetime.

Judy moved to Portland, was married, and became the proud mother to her adopted daughter, Susan Michelle. She and Richard Waggoner were married in 1985. She worked as a medical assistant for various doctors until retirement in the early 90s.

Traveling and gardening were her favorite activities. While living in Cornelius, as a member of the Handy Plant Society of Oregon, she designed a perennial flower garden from a bare lot. Her favorite colors were lime green and blue. She and her husband traveled to many countries in Europe, her favorite being Santorini in Greece, and the river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam.

Judy is survived by her loving daughter Susan, and her husband Mike Potts, her husband Richard, sister Shirley Draper, and stepdaughters Laurie and Leslie.

A graveside service for Judith will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 SW SUNSET HWY, PORTLAND, OR 97225.
