

Julie Elaine Johnson, passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 79. Julie was born on August 22, 1946, to William and Eva Carmody in Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada. She spent her childhood just across the border in International Falls, Minnesota where she attended Falls High School.
Julie’s life changed forever when she met the love of her life, Lloyd Johnson, at a party in Minnesota while he was home on leave from the Navy. After returning to duty, Lloyd sent her a letter and a one-way ticket to San Diego; a bold and heartfelt gesture that began their lifelong adventure together. They were married on June 29, 1966, in San Diego, California, beginning nearly six decades of devotion and partnership.
She worked as a cashier at Kmart and Burlington Coat Factory before becoming a cook for the North Clackamas School District.
Julie loved fishing, sewing, traveling with family, playing card and board games, baking, and camping. Her vibrant laugh was a gift to everyone fortunate enough to hear it. Julie loved her family and friends fiercely and selflessly; deeply devoted to all those she loved.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Johnson; her son David (Tesha) Johnson; daughter Deanna (Ryan) Emig; granddaughters Montanna (Sean) Carver and Erika Emig; and great-grandsons Monroe Carver and Benjamin Carver. Julie also leaves behind honorary family members Sam (Brandy) Eason and Katie (Lyle) Bergio, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held on November 22, 2025. A celebration of Julie’s life will follow on December 12, 2025, at 6:30pm at Revolution Church, 16575 SE Webster Rd. Milwaukie, where all who loved her are welcome to gather, remember, and share in her legacy of laughter and love.
