

With deep love and sorrow, the family of Julie Francine McDonald announces her peaceful passing in her sleep on May 1, 2025, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Throughout her life, Julie faced every challenge with remarkable strength, enduring grace, and a heart full of hope.
Born on November 8, 1946, Julie devoted her life to her family and community. She was the beloved wife of Allan Durham McDonald, her lifelong partner and best friend. Together, they built a strong, loving family and raised three children: Lil Julie McDonald (Luey), Tony McDonald, and niece, Ellen Harner (Leitner).
Julie was a proud grandmother to and a cherished great-grandmother. Julie was known affectionately as "Grandma" by many beyond her family. Julie opened her heart and home to all. Her warm spirit, sense of humor, and unconditional love made everyone feel like family.
Her legacy is one of compassion, resilience, and devotion. Julie will be remembered for generous soul, deep empathy, and the joy and comfort she brought to everyone she encountered.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Skyline Memorial Gardens.

Great-grandmother to Alivia, Christian, Angel Mateo, Evelyn, and new baby expected in November.
