Kay was born in Hartline, WA Sept 12,1930, to “Bud” and Bernice Kinnaman. Kay was the oldest ofchildren and was predeceased by Zane Kinnaman, Bonnie Guillory, Cora Polzel, Neal Kinnaman and Sharon Hedrick.
Survivors include her 3 sons, Allen, Larz and Keith Larson of Portland, OR and daughter Linda Larson, of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Kay attended Vernon Grade School and Jefferson High School Class of ’48
Kay was married to Lloyd Larson from 1952-1998
Kay loved to travel around the world with her friends and family and was always ready for her next adventure. Her travel took her to 6 continents and she loved every one of them.
She loved going to work and was very punctual if not early everyday. She was an administrative assistant for Eastmoreland General Hospital for 28 years, Brim Healthcare for 9 years and Carnahan, Smith and Gunter for 17 years.
She retired 3 times. Her last job at Carnahan, Smith and Gunter was her favorite job and loved taking care of Karen Carnahan and Marsia Gunter’s travel plans and office organization.
Her other hobbies included The Oregon Pops where she was a season ticket holder and every week playing pinochle. She belonged to the Boots and Belle’s Square Dance group in the 60s. Kay was also the President of American’s Business Women’s Association, Wahkeena Chapter and was Woman of the year in 1992 and represented Oregon at the National Convention in Washington DC.
Kay had dementia and because of Stan Hymel of Ameriprise Financial and his advice knowing her family history of Alzheimers and dementia she was well cared for by family and Senior Haven Assisted Living.
Kay was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.
Kay's Memorial was held Friday, December 11th at 1pm at Sunset Hills Mortuary and her final resting is at Sunset Hills Memorial Park.
