L. Ruth Aikman passed on May 5, 2026, at the age of 105, having been born on May 20, 1920, in Clarinda, Iowa to parents Glen and Donna Shum, and residing in Oregon for many decades.
Ruth volunteered at the Hollywood Senior Center for 40 years in their gift shop, selling many hand-crafted items. She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed her time with family.
Services are scheduled on what would have been her 106th birthday. She will be loved and missed by those who knew her.
