

Leonard Earl Wade Sr., passed away on August 30, 2011 at Park Forest Care Assisted Living facility. Leonard was born on March 28, 1943 to Lawrence and Josephine Wade, in Honey Grove Texas. Leonard lived in Honey Grove Texas until he was 5 years old, then his parents moved to Yakima Washington. Leonard went to elementary and middle school in Yakima and then moved to Seattle Washington, where he attended and graduated from Garfield High School.
While attending high school, Leonard met a young lady named Barbara Wilson. On Sept 29, 1962 they were married and lived in Seattle for another year, then moving to Portland Oregon where he started working for Freightliner Inc and decided to start a family.
Leonard loved chasing his grandchildren around the house with his teeth. Family was the most important part of his life, and he loved cars, pork and beans, rice and steak..
Leonard is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Wade of Jackson Tennessee, step-Mother, Lila Wade of Yakima Washington, 1 son Johnny Wade of Portland, Oregon, 1daughters, Tami Wade of Portland, Oregon, 4 brothers Lawrence Wade of Seattle WA, Charles Wade of Seattle WA., Johnny Wade of Stockton CA., Arthur Wade of Tacoma WA. 1 sister Cheresa Adams of Seattle Washington, 14 Grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Leonard was preceded in death by 2 sons, Andre and Leonard Wade Jr, a daughter Ethel Raymona Wade Perez and brother Wilburt Wade.
