

It is with great sadness that the family of Lola Mae Shaw announces her passing on January 20th, 2025. Born on February 19th, 1936, in Grace City, North Dakota, Lola spent her early years in the close-knit farming community of Carrington, North Dakota. Later in her childhood, she moved with her parents and siblings to Oregon, where she established lifelong roots in Tigard. Her vibrant spirit and enduring love enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Lola lived a remarkable 88 years, filled with love, dedication, and cherished memories. She was a beloved daughter, devoted wife, caring mother, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her family and friends will remember her for her unwavering kindness, strength, and the warmth she brought into every room.
Lola is survived by her eldest son, Kevin Curtis, and her youngest son, Daryl Craig (wife Leslie). She was a proud grandmother to Leslie, Jessie, Angela, Blaine, Mitchell, Hailey, and Brennan, and a loving great-grandmother to Landin, Lane, Harper, Collette, Olive, Remington, and Gage.
She was preceded in death by her only daughter, Lisa Gaye Shaw; her beloved husband, Irvin Lee Shaw; and her siblings, Eugene, Robert, Lura, Richard, and Ramona Shaw-Bauer.
Lola’s legacy of love and compassion will forever be treasured. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with her husband, Irvin Lee Shaw, her daughter Lisa Gaye Shaw and her parents, Merle Merwin Stedman and Hazel Stena Anderson-Stedman. She will be laid to rest beside them at Skyline Memorial Gardens, located at 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, Oregon 97229.
A graveside service will be held on February 3rd at 3:00 p.m. to celebrate her life and bid her a heartfelt farewell. Following the service, a reception will be hosted at 14570 SW Carlsbad Drive, Beaverton, Oregon 97007, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The family warmly invites all who knew and loved Lola to join them in remembering her incredible life.
In this time of sorrow, the family extends their gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers. Lola’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched.
