Marj graduated from Washington High School in Portland 1933, Oregon Normal School, Monmouth 1935, and University of Southern California, Los Angeles 1938, she was a school teacher in Powers and Myrtle Point OR. Her home was in Powers for 36 years then moved to Portland in 1974.
Marjory was a member of Powers Home Extension and Garden Club, a 4-H leader, Past Matron of Mystic Chapter Order of Eastern Star, and the Lioness Club in Portland.
Marjory was predeceased by husband Archie Lane, daughter Janet Snyder and granddaughter Christy LaPan.
Survivors are daughters Melinda (Lynn) (Pete) Britton of Bremerton WA and Carol (Mike) LaPan of Oregon City, granddaughters Julia Hansen of Puyallup WA, Sara Stephens of Poulsbo WA, five great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.
