Mark was born in Portland, Oregon to Charles (Chuck) & Helen I. Spohn (Norcross). He was the youngest of three children.
His final days were spent surrounded by his forever devoted daughter Carla, son-in-law Ken, son Jason, daughter-in-law Shawanna, son Joshua, his grandchildren, and two of his prior wives, Varla Barney and Linda Axsom.
Those who knew him, know Mark lived life his way and to the absolute fullest, and he loved every minute of it all. He loved working on anything that had an engine, no matter how big or small, fishing, camping, and boating.
We will never forget Dad’s love to talk and tell us all a great story. He always had that special light in his eyes when telling stories of the “good old days” from that special time in his life.
His one-of-a-kind heart, spirit, and personality will be forever missing from our lives; he was truly one of a kind. Mark’s love for his daughter, son-in-law, son’s, daughter-in-law, and amazing grandchildren was known by anyone who asked "how’s the family doing, Mark."
He had his very own special way with each of us. We each know his love runs deeper than he could ever say or show us, as much as he wanted to. At times he could be frustrating, complicated and everything in-between; sometimes he drove us all crazy, but he was ours. Our lives would not have been and will never be the same without him.
As Dad’s new journey begins, we find comfort in knowing that he is at peace now and reunited with his devoted parents, two brothers, and loving wife Carla M Spohn (Evans); each who he missed so very much.
Mark is survived by his daughter Carla Shaw and son-in-law Kenneth Shaw of Portland, OR, son Jason Evans and daughter-in-law Shawanna Evans of Central, OR, son Joshua Norris (Spohn) of Los Angeles, CA, son Gary Evans of Central, OR, daughter Christine Spohn of Central, OR, and his amazing grandchildren: Kory Shaw of Clackamas, OR, Kenra Shaw of Gresham, OR, Wyatt and Ellie Evans of Central, OR, Dakota Norris, Aiden Norris, Aleus Norris, and Anna Norris.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Charles M Spohn (2012) and Helen I Spohn (Norcross) (2006), brother’s Gordon M Spohn (1991) and Kenneth R Spohn (1967), and loving wife Carla M Spohn (Evans) (2018)
Dad said it best, "it’s all gonna be OK; we had one hell of a ride kiddo!"
