Words cannot express the shock of hearing about Anita. Although I live in London & Anita was in the US, despite the fact that we invariably missed each other on trips home to Ireland, she is one of those people who manages to maintain a contact in another way, so although very little words may have been spoken, the thoughts were always there.  Brian & Aowyn, I may not have met you, but I do know that you changed her life and she was devoted to you. She brought a great joy to so many people with her "Anitaisms" and it is this joy which will bring a smile to your face as well as remembering the beaming smile she usually had on her face.  So many happy memories of her.
 
To all of the Quinn family, my deepest sympathy, to Brian & Aowyn, her zest for life will see you through. Sleep peacefully Anita.

Anita was a force for good; always! I am saddened by her untimely passing and am heartened by reflecting on the impact that she had on so many of us.

Anita was a colleague for many years, a friend and a neighbor. Her passionate spirit and quick wit were her signature. And, with all of her drive and enthusiasm, it's the quiet moments that we had together that I will remember most: telling stories of our kids, processing work issues, talking about hopes and dreams, laughing at the absurdity of so many things that really didn't matter.  Anita touched so many of us that we are truly blessed by having known her.  I know that I am a better person because I knew Anita.

To Brian and Aowyn, I offer my most deep sympathy. Thank you for sharing Anita with so many of us.

Our deepest sympathy to Brian Aowyn her Dad Michael Brendan Cathal Caroline and family at this very sad time.  Anita's sudden death has been a dreadful shock  for Brian Aowyn and her family. Also to  her relatives friends and neighbours at this  very sad and difficult time .
Anita filled a room with her beautiful smile her warmth and kindness to everyone.  I've known Anita  her whole life a great cousin and a wonderful neighbour. 
May her gentle soul rest in peace.🙏🙏

Dear Brian and Aowyn, I am still at a loss to believe in Anita's passing. Thinking of you both so much. I will never forget Anita chasing after me at the bus stop, asking if I was Irish... We know the backstory:o) The IMA (Irish Mammies Association) was formed shortly after and still stands strong today. I loved Anita,  she was full of life, funny,fearless, joyous, vibrant, clever...simply wonderful.  We laughed a lot during my time in Portland, I have wonderful memories of this amazing friend group, in which Anita was pivotal.
She will be greatly missed but she was and is greatly loved.

This was our last photo taken in Templeogue, Dublin, on September 1st 2023 when Anita came to stay over with us the day before she flew back home to the US.

This is a photo of Anita and me the last time I got to see her and enjoy her funny,  brilliant, effervescent company. September 1st 2023 in Templeogue, Dublin when she was in Ireland to visit her ailing father. I wish I’d hugged her tighter at the end of that visit.

I am so saddened by Anita‘s passing. She was such a wonderful friend  to  myself and many others. This is just a brief snapshot of some wonderful times our Irish group spent together here in Portland. I think Anita named us The Irish Mammies Association, 
She was definitely our chief organizer.  I’m going to miss her big heart and cheerful,  witty conversation.

Deepest condolences to Brian, Aowyn, Anita's Dad Michael, brothers Cathal and Brendan and extended Quinn and Fugate Families.  I've been friends with Anita since National School but no matter how long it was since we last spoke, we picked up where we left off.  I will never forget Anita and I will really miss her.   She was kindness personified, funny and always upbeat.  My thoughts and prayers are with Anita's family at this very sad time. May Anita's beautiful Soul shine brightly in Heaven. Heartbroken to hear of the passing of my dear friend Anita. We were friends since primary school in Tuam. We lived together in Galway for a summer during our college years. We had many happy times & travels together while we both lived in London. I cherished our reunions when Anita would come and stay over with us in Dublin over the years on her trips home. Anita was my dear, funny, energetic and loving cousin whose enthusiasm for life,  great sense of humour and warmth and generosity infected everyone around her. She was a devoted wife to Brian , and a tireless and loving mother to Aowyn

It's nearly impossible to believe someone who was such a presence has left us.  The world is much less interesting and vibrant without Anita here.
Anita and I worked closely together for many years and she was a lifeline, an expert juggler, and a good friend.  She knew when to buckle down on a project, but more importantly, knew when to take a breath and help others around her defuse.  
I will always remember her restaurant critiques (she didn't like very many of them), talking about Ireland together, the way her face could go from furrowed brow to bright laughter in the blink of an eye.  I will remember Aowyn's artwork papering her cubicle and sharing stories of kid stuff, remodeling stuff, and life stuff.  I will remember her kindness, and generosity.
For Brian and Aowyn and other family members, I am so sorry for your extraordinary loss.

Anita to me was more than a coworker - she was a friend. I will miss dearly laughing with her, sharing stories and supporting each other during difficult pandemic times. Even spacing furniture 6’ apart seemed more tolerable because of her! I was looking forward to getting together with her soon and it is hard to believe that it will not be possible. I will always remember my European to the bone, Irish friend! 
I am wishing Anita’s family courage and peace during this time of mourning.

I worked with Anita for many years. She was always there to help our team. During the early days of the pandemic, Anita went above and beyond to ensure our team had what we need to continue to provide care to others. I could always count on her to help me figure out a solution. I am sorry for your loss.

I was very shocked and saddened to hear about Anita's passing. When I worked with her she was not only a wealth of knowledge in where to find things or who to talk to, she was also full of great humor and a sharp wit.  A wonderful light gone far too soon! My greatest condolences to her family.

I worked with Anita for many years, and she was so helpful and supportive. She was an amazing person and coworker. I always enjoyed and appreciated her humor, thoroughness and professionalism. She was an inspiration and a friend. It was an honor to have known her.

I send my deepest sympathies to her family. May your hearts know that she was loved, and her time spent here made a meaningful difference to all who knew her.
