Mil Norfolk passed away quietly in her home on July 30, 2020 after a long illness. She was born at home in Kennewick, Washington on August 24, 1927. The family moved to Pasco, Washington when she was six months old. Mil attended Pasco schools and graduated from Pasco High School in 1945. She also attended Washington State College for two years. She worked for Pacific Northwest Bell for nine years and in 1953 married Don Norfolk. They had 2 sons, Scott and Kirk.
The family lived in various locations throughout Don’s career including New York City, where he worked for AT&T and Mil used the opportunity to plan historical trips for her family all over the Northeast.
Mil was a long time member of Christ United Methodist Church in Cedar Mill where she was an active member for many years. She was devoted to her family, her large circle of friends and always displayed her natural willingness to help others. Her trademark sense of humor, generosity, love of animals, and kindness to others defined this extraordinary woman.
Burial services will be held privately at Sunset Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a small donation in Mil's memory to a charity of your choice.
