Mildred Van Beek

Mildred Evelyn “Millie” Searcy was born on May 20, 1926 in McClain County, Oklahoma to Charles & Martha Searcy. She had 4 siblings, Walter, Raz, Jerry, John and Leona. Millie attended Strathmore High School in central California, where she met the love of her life, William “Bill” Van Beek.

On May 23, 1946, Millie exchanged wedding vows with Bill in Yuma, Arizona. The inseparable couple had three children, Billy, Don, and Kandi. They were also blessed with two grandchildren, Loren II. and Laura Michelle.

Mildred attended the United Pentecostal Church in Oregon City, Oregon for approximately 39 years.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Donald and Rebecca Van Beek, her daughter and son-in-law Kandi and Loren Brown, and her two grandchildren Loren Brown II. and Laura Michelle Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and her son, Billy.

Millie will be remembered most for her love of gardening and her love for her children and grandchildren. She will be sorely missed, but forever in our hearts.
