Mohsen Amozegar-Haghighi, 83, passed away peacefully in his home in Lake Oswego, on August 20th. He is survived by his loving wife, Fahima, and his three daughters: Azin, Avid, and Nazanin. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Mohsen is remembered for his love of life and laughter, his unbridled kindness, and his full-hearted generosity to those in need. Born in a small village near Shiraz, Iran; Mohsen would eventually travel the world as a decorated member of the Shah of Iran’s flight team. He was raised by a mother who believed whole-heartedly in giving more to others than you receive in return, and a father who, while of modest means, spent his days traveling from village to village as a schoolteacher to children who lacked access to basic education. True to his Shiraz roots, Mohsen was an avid lover of wine, Persian poetry, and putting the whole measure of his love into his relationships with others. Please join us on Saturday, September 9th, from 2-4:30pm at Finley-Sunset Hills Memorial Park for a celebration of Mohsen’s life and a remembrance of all the times he made us smile. If you would like to make a donation in his name, Mohsen was a long time contributor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Baba Joon, you will never be forgotten.
