Muong raised her brothers in Laos and she moved to the United States in 1981, first arriving in San Francisco, California to live with her brother who had come to the U.S. before her. In 1982, she came to Portland, Oregon - a place she called home for the rest of her days. She married Yao Ta Tzeo in 1982.
Muong was a loving, caring wife, step-mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband Yao Ta Tzeo; two brothers; nine step-sons; five step-daughters; 23 grandsons; 14 granddaughters; and 20 great-grandchildren.
A chapel funeral service followed by a burial ceremony will take place on Saturday, February 1st, 2014, 10am, in Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, Oregon.
