Born in Yakima, Washington, to Wayne and Allene Boyd, Nancy later moved to Portland, where she graduated from Roosevelt High School. On September 15, 1962, she married George Clark, whom she met on a blind date set up by her friend Judy. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and lasting memories. They had three children and eventually settled in Aloha, Oregon, where they raised their family and later retired.
Nancy worked in the Montgomery Ward offices in her early years, then served with care and dedication in the Hillsboro School District as a school cafeteria staff member. Later, she and George became co-owners of L&G Promenade, a square dance shop that allowed them to stay connected to a hobby they loved deeply. Square dancing was a joyful part of their lives, and they were active members of many clubs throughout the years.
She was also a member of the TOPS organization and the Eager Beavers square dance club, where her energy, kindness, and friendship were felt by many.
Nancy was loved by many—and had love to share. She adored family gatherings, especially holidays and birthday celebrations, and could always be found at the heart of them. She delighted in time spent with family and friends, and she cherished every moment of togetherness. Known for her generosity and kind spirit, Nancy was always ready to help anyone in need. She especially loved to spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.
She is survived by her devoted husband, George Clark;
her children: Randy Clark, Jim (Wendie) Clark, and Sharon (Sean) Thomas;
her grandchildren: Randy Dimmick, Lydia (Bradford) Benson, Maranda Clark, Toni (Justin) Moore, Tiffany (Jeremy) Hoefs;
and her great-grandchildren: Natasha, Tori, Evelyn, and Eli.
Nancy’s loving nature, generous heart, and deep devotion to her family leave behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and comfort all who knew her.
She will be missed dearly, remembered always, and loved forever.
