It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nilo M. Gutierrez, who left this world at his home in Milwaukie, Oregon on July 27, 2024, just days before his 63rd birthday. Born on August 1, 1961, in Tarlac, Philippines, Nilo was the cherished son of Domingo and Africa Gutierrez.
Nilo grew up in Tarlac and was a proud alumnus of Lawy Elementary School and Lawy High School. He pursued further education at the Philippine College of Criminology for two years before embarking on a life filled with love, faith, and dedication.
In a beautiful union of love and friendship, Nilo married Fe, his childhood friend, with whom he shared a deep and abiding partnership. Together, they raised four wonderful children: Daryll Gutierrez, Robbie Gutierrez, Krizthine Canham, Kathrine Santiago, and an extended family that brought him immense joy.
Nilo was a devoted member and a deacon in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ), a testament to his unwavering faith. His love for farming and working outdoors reflected his deep connection to the earth and his strong work ethic. His good humor, generosity, and kindness made him a beloved figure to all who knew him. He was a loving grandfather to his nine grandchildren, and his warm presence will be deeply missed.
Nilo is survived by his wife, Fe Gutierrez; his children, Daryll, Robbie, Krizthine, and Kathrine; his two daughters-in-law and two sons-in-law; and his nine grandchildren. His memory will forever live in the hearts of his family and friends.
Nilo M. Gutierrez's life was a testament to love, faith, and resilience. His memory will be cherished, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
