Patricia L. Berends passed away on June 28, 2024. She was born on May 17, 1932, to her parents Elmer & Elva Glenn in Preston, Kansas. She was raised in Cunningham, Kansas where she graduated high school.
Patricia met Harold A. Berends while he was in the Army at Camp Roberts. The two of them fell in love and were married on October 11, 1953. Patricia was a stay-at-home Mom, but throughout her life, she also worked as a secretary, a cleric, and in retail.
She had many hobbies and interests, such as sewing, crocheting, baking, and bowling. She had a great sense of humor and was always a kind and loving person. She was also a woman of faith and was a member of Damascus Community Church for almost 50 years.
Patricia will forever be remembered as a woman who deeply loved her family, and who was always giving and compassionate toward others.
She is survived by her daughter Debra (Steve) Miller, daughter Cathy (Marv) Stover, daughter Brenda (Jeff) Cole, as well as 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, brother Dallas (Venna) Glenn, and brother Ken (Marilyn) Glenn.
A Memorial Service for Patricia will be held at Damascus Community Church on August 17, 2024.
