

Pauline was born in Vernon, Kansas to Hattie and Otis Lynn. She attended Pittsburg Junior College and graduated in 1933. She taught 4th-6th grade for twelve years in Kansas. Pauline moved to Portland and taught school at James John Elementary School in St. John's. She married Harold Bryan in December of 1947. Pauline and Harold enjoyed many vacations on Harold's motorcycle. They traveled to Kansas and many other places on his bike. Later they traveled in their motorhome. They enjoyed life to the fullest until Harold passed away in 1982. Pauline was active in the Pioneer United Methodist Church, a volunteer at Emanuel Hospital gift shop, as well as the Red Cross, and the Retired Teachers Luncheon. She taught school for forty years. Pauline traveled to Germany, New Zealand, Australia, the Panama Canal, Alaska, and the New England states. She was always on the go. Pauline as an artist; her paintings were shown at the Calaroga Art Show. She had many hobbies. She loved working in the yard. Her garden of flowers, plants, and vegetables were beautiful and well kept. She enjoyed walking and being outdoors. She was a Blazer fan, and she also enjoyed reading. Pauline moved to Calaroga Terrace in May of 2007. She enjoyed the activities at Calaroga. She loved having guests for lunch and dinner and her guests had a good time playing bingo. She was a friend to all. She is survived by a step daughter, June Waggoneer, and a cousin, Mary Mercer. She will be missed and will always be remembered.
