

Phyllis Barr Minich passed on to Glory, January 4, 2024 in Portland, OR, after a short illness. Born April 15, 1951 in Sellersville, PA to Frances (Rickert) and Grover Barr of Chalfont, PA. She graduated from Central Bucks HS (class of 1969) and attended Commonwealth University – Mansfield, PA. She is survived by her husband Ric Minich, daughter Tanya Pasimio, three grandsons Reuben, Oren, & Thomas-John Pasimio, two brothers Dennis & Curtis Barr, sister Janis Weikel and three stepsons Christopher, Charles & Nathan Minich. A resident of Portland for twenty years, she retired with her husband to Surfside HOA of Ocean Park, WA, eleven years ago.
Phyllis excelled in many disciplines. She was President of the limited energy electrical contractor, Reigncom, Inc. In addition, she was a successful Mary Kay consultant. She was a skilled seamstress, repairing and creating numerous articles of clothing for many friends and the needy. Another craft she enjoyed and exercised was the art of stained-glass concrete steps, which now grace many landscapes on the Long Beach Peninsula. Phyllis excelled as a singer. Her award-winning voice performed in churches, events, and many karaoke establishments. Audiences and congregations loved her performances. Most significant of all her life was her love of God resulting in humbly learning, teaching, and performing in numerous charitable acts which included multiple mission trips to Uganda, Mexico, and domestic. Her first priority was always to serve others financially, comfort provision, or teaching. Her legacy will be “she dedicated her life to others and served the Lord with gladness.”
In lieu of flowers, a donation to one of these charitable organizations that Phyllis passionately supported is requested in her name: Transform African Ministries, Shoeboxes of Joy, or The American Red Cross.
