

Richard Allen Stolte, age 82, of Vancouver, Washington passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024. He was born on February 1, 1942 in Portland, Oregon to Kenneth L. Stolte and Neva A. Rouse. Dick and his family lived in Vancouver, Washington.
He graduated from Washington High School in Portland and later earned an accounting degree from Kinman Business University in Spokane, Washington.
Dick went on to serve in the US Army. He had a long career as a manager in the shipping department of Oregon Steel Mills, from which he retired. After retiring, he became a real estate agent in Vancouver.
He was married to Eve Everts from 1969-1988. After 19 years of marriage, the two divorced.
Dick had many interests and he was good at lots of things. He enjoyed action shooting, fishing, playing basketball and pool, boating, running, listening to music, watching movies, camping, hiking and wine-making. He won numerous awards in cowboy action shooting, pool, and math. He ran the Portland Marathon, Hood to Coast, and other runs; many of which resulted in awards.
Dick loved animals and he had a Type A personality. He was very friendly and talkative. People that had the pleasure of meeting him will always remember his impressive math skills and shooting expertise.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Stolte of Vancouver, WA; grandson Nathanial Gardner of Vancouver, WA; sister Cynthia Slivka of Pennsylvania; brothers Verne Stolte of Iowa and Robert Stolte of California; and numerous cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 11801 SE Mt Scott Blvd., Portland, OR 97086.
