
Robert Benedict Darnell was born on November 17, 1927 in Rochester Minnesota and died on December 14, 2014 in Portland Oregon at the age of 87. As a young man Robert served his country as a Seaman in the United States Navy during WWII. After his years of service he worked as a glazier in the construction industry until his retirement.
Robert loved to spend his time camping, fishing and riding motorcycles. He was such an enthusiast for riding that even at the age of 81 he ventured all the way to Sturgess with his walker strapped to the back of his bike! Robert was a fan of football and loved watching old movies while eating all the sweets he could get his hands on. He loved animals, especially his dearest friend and companion his dog Jack who went with him everywhere.
Robert is predeceased by his wife Diane Darnell and his granddaughter Adrienne Darnell.
He is survived by his son Rick Darnell and his daughter in law, Dawn McIntosh; daughter Robin Miller and son-in law Russell Miller; grandchildren, Lindsey Alldrin, Alexandra Habecker, Evan Miller, Kyra Miller, Lauren Oxley and her husband Wyatt Oxley. Great-grandchildren, Joseph Alldrin, Ariann Oxley and Eliza Oxley.
