Robert J. Larsen

Robert was born in Ione, Idaho. During WWII he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. After the war, he graduated from Boise State University and OHSU Dental School, Class of 1952. He married Nancy M. Dickinson in Portland on November 27th, 1976, in Portland, OR. Bob served as a dentist in the Cedar Hills area for 52 years and retired in 2004.

Bob was active in his profession serving as secretary of Washington County Dental Society 1967, president of Washington County Dental School, 1967, president Washington County Dental School, 1969, Trustee to ODA from Washington County 1969-1970, Member and Chairman of Peer Review Committee 1977 -1980, member and chairman of ODA 1981-1984 and member of Public Information Council of ODA 1975. He served Oregon Society of Dentistry for children as editor 1983-1984, Vice President, 1984-1985, President, 1985-1986.

Bob was an amazing snow skier. His favored slopes were Mt. Hood and Mt. Bachelor. He enjoyed the game of golf as well. Bob and Nancy did lot of traveling in their years together. They visited Europe, the Orient, and many other memorable destinations.

Bob is predeceased by his son, Michael. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Sue Johnson; step-children, Wm. Carlisle and Cathy Omlin; and six grandchildren. Bob will be privately laid to rest in Willamette National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Alzheimer's and Dementia association.
