Roger was born to Frederick and Alice Dierking in Portland, Oregon on May 31, 1927.
After graduating from U.S. Grant High School, Roger enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps, along with fellow members of what is considered in history as "The Greatest Generation." He served with honor and after his service married sweetheart Evelyn Marie Wheatley, May 4, 1951. Roger led a much accomplished life. Working for the U.S. Dept. of Interior, going back to school to earn his law degree and remaining a member of the Oregon Bar for 50 years. Roger and Evelyn traveled the world from Norway, Spain, to S.E. Asia, but his greatest accomplishment were the ones he left behind. His family meant everything to him.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Evelyn; three children, Sue, James (Vicki), Patricia (Jeff); 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
