Roy Neville Peterson was born in Montebello, California and passed away in Portland, Oregon. When he was a freshman in high school his father bought a motel in Riggins, Idaho and moved the family. Upon getting out of high school, Roy joined the Navy. After the service, Roy got his first job at the Idaho Statesman in Boise, where he worked for 8 years. He later moved to Portland where he worked as a retail advertiser for the Oregonian for thirty years. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Suzanne. A service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on Monday, October 15 at 1:30pm. Contributions can be made to diabetes, heart disease, cancer or mental health research.
