

She passed quietly on August 10, 2016 under hospice care at home in Portland, Oregon.
Ruby grew up in K Falls, Oregon, was schooled at Sacred Heart Academy, graduating in 1983. She was an accomplished ballerina as a youth and was also a member of the first girls softball champion team in K falls, and a proud member of the Siletz tribe.
Ruby attended OIT studying business and marketing. Ruby then moved to Portland where she had various jobs and worked as a checker at Fred Meyer and WinCo. She was popular and made many friends.
Ruby enjoyed rock and heavy metal music and saw everyone from AC/DC to Led Zepplin, and most every band in between. She was always excited to attend the next concert. Ruby was also a lifelong wrestling fan, attending matches at the Portland Sports arena and Rose Garden. Her favorite wrestlers were Hart, Orton, Piper and Ambrose. Ruby was a season ticket holder for the Oakland Raiders during 2000-2003, and she rooted for the Yankees as well.
Ruby had a lot of great times in her fifty-one years and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.. Ruby's favorite saying was "No regrets," and that's the way she lived her life. She is survived by twin sister Ruth, Brothers Mark and Paul, Minnie K and family, nieces Kim, Karen, Kristen, Monica, nephews Lee, Chris, Kevin, Terry and many other loved ones. She is preceded in death by Elnathan Sr. and Minnie, Brothers Marvin Sr., Elnathan Jr., Pete, and sisters Helen and Rita.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes, 1515 NE 106th Ave, Portland, OR 97220.
A funeral service will be held Friday August 19, 2016 at 9:00am at Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes.
A graveside service will be held on August 19, 2016 at 2:00 at Paul Washington Indian Cemetery in Siletz, Oregon with a meal provided by the Siletz Elders to follow.
