Terry was born June 15, 1948 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to William Perry and Evelyn Jeanette (Eggen) Wheeler. The family lived in Corvallis, Oregon for many years, where William taught at Oregon State University. Terry attended Harding Elementary School, Highland View Junior High, Corvallis High School, and Oregon State University, where he received his pharmacy degree. He worked for PayLess Drug Stores, Walgreens, and Gresham Professional Pharmacy.
He loved photography and playing his guitar.
Terry was generous and kind, loved his family, and worked hard on his sobriety. He was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, and the family is comforted knowing he is with his Savior now.
Terry is survived by his son Nathan Wheeler of Portland, Oregon; daughter Emily Hage of Beaverton, Oregon; grandchildren Jack and Henry Hage; sisters Margo Thelen of Woodland, Washington, and Cindy Elting of Aloha, Oregon; and brother Richard Wheeler of Wood Village, Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A service will be held on January 14, 2026 at 10am at Grace Community Church, 800 SE Hogan
Road, Gresham, Oregon 97080.
