Ted Schneider was born April 27, 1931 to Fritz and Gertrude Schneider in Portland Oregon. He graduated as a four year letterman from Franklin High School in 1949. A true Portland native, Ted loved the northwest. He was, however, not a big fan of the snow; that could be because of the 3 million miles he put in as an outspoken, but soft-hearted truck driver. Ted was never one to want to see another person without. He was the kind of man who stood up for what he believed in and what he believed in most was his family.
Ted died of complications due to Sideroblastic Anemia, a blood disorder that he fought for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Trudel and Fritz Schneider; son, Steve Schneider; and brother, Bill Schneider. He is survived by his wife, Alice; daughter, Lynda (Terry) Truman; daughter in law, Sue Schneider; son, Tim Schneider; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
We would like to thank God for allowing us to exchange “I love you’s” before graciously taking him home.
