He was born in Portland, Oregon on June 11th, 1964.
Ted graduated from Milwaukie High School, where he was proud to participate in the Wrestling program. After high school, he enlisted in the Navy for 5 years.
He met his best friend and the love of his life, Kathy, and they were married on June 25th, 1989.
Ted worked at Costco, Vintage Aircraft, and Precision Castparts.
Ted was proud of his son, Connor, and he loved to support him in a variety of activities including wrestling, football, and gun collecting.
Always at the ready with a good (albeit, inappropriate) joke, he grew up to be quite a humorous person. He had a knack for creating unique nicknames for just about everyone he cared about. If you had a nickname it meant that he cared for you. He had a passion for music with over 10,430 songs currently on his iPod, and meeting personally with Robert Plant this past summer was one of the highlights of his life. He enjoyed sailing the Hobie Cat, kayaking, working on his 62 Nova, and numerous other auto "projects" over the years. He loved spending time with friends in town and especially drinking a Rainier beer on the docks with the Merwin Lake crew.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Coleman York; son Connor; parents Don and Collette; brothers Terry,
Tim, and sister Marcy.
The memorial service will be held at 1:00, Tuesday, March 5th at Lincoln Memorial 11801 SE Mt Scott
Blvd, Portland Oregon.
