He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a legend of his time to all his family. He was the youngest son to Ellen A. (Regan) and Calvin Arthur Lloyd.
He graduated from Quantico Post High School in 1946 and then went on to obtain his student pilots license in April 1945 until July 1946. He then joined the United States Marine Corp. in 1946 to 1948 after an honorable discharged he returned as a reserve in 1950 to 1951.
After leaving the service he pursued a life long career as a commercial painter with the Painters Allied Trade Union Local #10. He was a member of the Union from 1955 to 1993 when he retired and became a life time member. During those years he held many titles painter, paperhanger, coordinator and shared his knowledge as an instructor in many classes.
He met the love of his life and was married in 1956. He had 3 beautiful children Donnie, Terry & Jackie.
He lost his son Donnie in 2009 and his wife, Aloris in 2012 and is survived by Terry ( Merv), Jackie, Chiyo (daughter-in-law) grandchildren, Kim, Tim and Brandon, great grandson Kyle.
He will always remain in our hearts and be loved forever.
A Celebration of Wally's Life will be held at Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, OR, on Friday, October 11, 2019, at 10am. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 prior to the ceremony. Wally will be placed to rest in Skyline Memorial Gardens in the Garden Mausoleum.
