

Mr. Adolphus (Dolph) Roy Trimm, age 93 of Potsdam, NY passed away on February 25th at the Canton Potsdam Hospital where he had been admitted the day before. There will be no services at his request. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Disabled Veterans Association. On line condolences can be shared @www.garnerfh.com. After a long 8 year wait, he has rejoined with the “love of his life” Bettie Jane Cobane Trimm. Born September 26, 1921 to Roy H. and Estella Dickenson Trimm. Well known by his family, friends and community as Pa; a hardworking, avid hunter and “people” person, who also loved gardening and fishing. Served in the United States Army during WWII as a “codebreaker” stationed in Hawaii. Married Bettie on February 7, 1946 in Little Rock, AR. He was the owner and operator of Dolph’s Plumbing and Heating most of his life.
He is predeceased by his wife Bettie; a daughter Naomi “Carol” Trimm Sickles, a son in law Sam Sickles, a daughter In law Carol Weaver, grandson Arthur Weaver Jr. and a brother Leonard Trimm. He is survived by 6 children; son Arthur Weaver of Cortland, NY; daughters Anita Witherell (Angelo Landi) of Potsdam; Marlene (Rodger) Bishop of Florida; Cindy Hollinger (Tim Dunshee) of Massena; Wendy Trimm (Seth Flukey) of CO; Lisa Trimm (Brian Haggett) of Norwood; as well as a nephew Bill (Becky) Ellis who was like a son to him; sister Doris Hazelton; 21 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; 22 great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. You are greatly missed Pa.
