Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 22nd at Garner Funeral Service- 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Church services will be held on Thursday, August 23rd at 11:00 am at St. Phillips Episcopal Church in Norwood. Burial will be at Brick Chapel Cemetery in Canton with a reception to follow at the Canton Best Western.
Theresa was born on May 23, 1934 to James and Myrtle Flemming Locke and was married to Millard Stone on January 19, 1950. Theresa was the loving mother of 8 children. She spent her life dedicated to her family. She loved gardening, cooking, canning, bird watching, and spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.
Theresa was preceded by her husband, Millard Stone, and 2 children; Patricia Ann & Gordon Dewey. Also, her parents James & Myrtle Locke, sister Shelba Whiteford, and 2 brothers Millard (Tommy) & Willard (Bill) Locke. She survived by her children James (Holly) Stone, Kenneth (Sherry) Stone, Penny (Randy) LaValley, William (Zoey) Stone, Lisa (Tom) Oakes, Tammy (Scotty) Beaudin and Brenda Casey; along with 3 sisters; Eleanor, Rosemary and Shirley and many sister and brother-in-laws. She had 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren that she adored.
