

CROWE, Sr. Albert Lee, 82, beloved husband, Daddy and Papa, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday May 1, 2012. Mr. Crowe was born June 30, 1929 to the late James Blakely Crowe and Ida Mae Sewell Crowe. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving aboard the cruiser U.S.S. Manchester during post World War II occupation operations in Japan. Funeral services will be held Friday May 4 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church with Dr. Travis Coleman and the Reverend Dave Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Booth Cemetery, according to Ridout’s Prattville Chapel. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Catherine Virginia Chavers Crowe of Booth, four daughters, Cathy Crowe (Johnnie) Rainwater, Montgomery, Linda Crowe Chandler, Deatsville, Jimmie Gale Crowe (Gregg) Dupree, Deatsville, Heather Crowe (John) Obermark, Offutt AFB, Nebraska, one son, Albert Lee “Bert” (Angie) Crowe, Jr. of Smithville, Miss., twenty-seven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. Pallbearers will be Jay Rainwater, John Rainwater, Brian Chandler, Michael Chandler, Ron Dupree, Daniel Dupree, Jonathan Crowe, Wesley Crowe, and James Edward Loy. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Hospice, P.O Box 241647 Montgomery, Al. 36124.
