Mrs. Watts was born on March 3, 1932 in Perry County, Kentucky to the late George and Bethel Taylor Smith. She was known as an avid reader and was dedicated to the wellbeing of animals. She also enjoyed arts and crafts. She was a devoted Air Force wife and loving mother, taking care of the family and making a home for them in the various places where her husband Lawrence was stationed during his many years of service to the United States Air Force. She was preceded in death by Lawrence in 2002.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Crook of Prattville; her son, Martin Watts of Daphne, Alabama; a granddaughter, Reyanna Kirby; three grandsons, Joshua, Caleb, and Jacob Mozingo; a sister and brother in law, Dana and Norman Longworth of Louisville, Kentucky and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
To honor Mrs. Watts’ love for animals, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Autauga County Humane Society.
