Betty is preceded in death by her father, Lucius Hughey; mother, Evelyn Hughey; son, Larry W. Henderson Jr.; brothers, Frank Hughey and Bill Hughey; as well as her son-in-law, John Hiebel. She is survived by her husband, Larry W. Henderson; daughters, Linda Hiebel and Susan Vines (David); grandchildren, Shelby Henderson, Chris Henderson (Lori), Amanda Short (Tony), Carrie James (Gannon), Michelle Butler, John L. Hiebel (Tori), and Jake Hiebel; as well as 9 great-grandchildren.
Betty had a passion for helping others and at one point spent her time doing charitable work for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. She also worked as a Treasurer of Dogwood Estates HOA as well as being a proud member of the Pensacola Water Ski Team. She was an extremely skillful precision sewist as well as an avid gardener. Her family was her world and she was known as being a devoted wife and mother.
A celebration of life memorial service for Betty will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel, 347 E Main St, Prattville, Alabama 36067.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in honor of Betty Henderson to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
