Charlotte A. "Annie" Ruminer

RUMINER, Charlotte Ann “Annie” (Grantham), a long time resident of Prattville, Alabama passed away on September 14th, 2012. She was born April 10th 1952 to Charles and Frances Grantham in Elba, Alabama. She is the granddaughter of R.C. and Ozetta Grantham, deceased, and the niece of Neil Grantham, deceased. Her maternal grandparents were John and Connie Thomas. She held a degree in Horticulture from Trentholm State Community College, and committed her life to the love of all living things. She loved to spend her spare time in her gardens and tending her assortment of animals. She readily shared her knowledge and plants with everyone. She was well loved by all in her family. Her gentle spirit and calm demeanor made everyone around her feel at ease. Her love for football and especially the Alabama team were unsurpassed. She is survived by her husband, Larry Ruminer; daughter, Lindy Danielle Seamon; son, Kevin Michael Stubbs; step son, Larry Brandon Ruminer; step daughter, Judy Lynn Smith; sisters, Renee (Mims) Accurso and her husband Joseph, Ponte Vedra, Florida; Lynn (Grantham) Terry and her husband Wayne, Unadilla, New York; a step father, Billy E. Mims, Abbeville, Alabama; two grandchildren, Jamel Parker ( Lindy) and Isaac Stubbs. Her aunts, Ollie Farris, Mavis Davis, Dot Smith, Barbara Hudson, all of Elba and Janette Grantham, Montgomery, Alabama. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is also the Daughter-in-law of Vaughn and Ellen Ruminer of Batesville, Arkansas. She is preceeded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Frances Mims. Pallbearers will be David Rawlinson, Allen Nance, Carl Pearson, Michael Rawlinson, Derrick Smith and Eric Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Baker, Shon (Boog) Seamon, Heath Seamon, Matt Gober, Tommy McElay and Raymond Smith. The family will receive visitors on Sunday Afternoon September 16th, from 3:00 pm -5:00 pm at Ridout’s Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held at Ridout’s Funeral home at 10:00 am on September 17th, 2012, with Brother Ron Davis officiating. A second visitation will be held Monday at Hayes Funeral Home in Elba, AL from 1:45 pm - 2:45 pm. Graveside service and burial will be held in Elba at the Evergreen Cemetery immediately following visitation there.
