In the mid-1980s, Elaine and Glen moved to Eufaula, Alabama, to be closer to her parents and help care for them. Glen passed away in October 1992. Following his death, Elaine moved to Donalsonville, Georgia.
In 1995, Elaine met Donald Tesh at the Walmart coffee shop in Dothan, Alabama. They were married in August 1995 and later purchased a home in Dothan, where Elaine lovingly cared for her mother, Ethel, until her passing.
After Donald’s death in August 2014, Elaine moved to Prattville, Alabama, and later to live with her daughter Geni in the fall of 2015. She spent several years traveling by RV between 2018 and 2020 before moving to Oklahoma in 2023.
