

Mrs. Friese was born on January 9th, 1936, to the late Dock and Imogene Head McCollough of Brundidge, AL. She lived most of her life in Montgomery, AL, until moving to McKinney, TX in late 2019 to live with her daughter Jennifer due to health concerns. She was a longstanding and faithful member of Eastmont Baptist Church. Erma worked as a church secretary at Highland Avenue Baptist Church and then at the Alabama State Baptist Convention, retiring after years of faithful service.
Erma was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother (Gabby), aunt, and dear friend. She was known for her deep faith in the Lord, gracious wisdom, joy, and love for many. Her joys included traveling to new places, spending time with her grandchildren, weekly card games with friends, gardening, reading, and the great fellowship of believers at Eastmont Baptist Church.
Erma is preceded in death by her parents, Dock and Imogene McCollough, her beloved husband, Dr. Charles (Chuck) L. Friese of Montgomery, AL, and grandson Zachary A. Middleton of Birmingham, AL.
Erma is survived by her son Mike Senn and wife Eileen of Pike Road, AL; daughter Jennifer Middleton and husband Matt of McKinney, TX; sister Lurlean Sutton of Ariton, AL; grandchildren Dr. Joshua Senn and wife Dr. Sarah Senn of Louisville, KY; Jeremy Senn of Montgomery, AL; Madison Middleton of Fayetteville, AR; Parker Middleton of McKinney, TX; Abbygail Bennett and husband Andrew of Springdale, AR; great-granddaughter Savannah Senn of Louisville, KY; and many much-loved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, March 18th at Eastmont Baptist Church (4505 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, AL) at 12:00 noon, with Brother Mike Northcutt officiating. Visitation to follow. A private family graveside service led by Dr. Harrell Cushing will follow visitation.
Flowers will be appreciated but donations are encouraged to Eastmont Baptist Church Missions.
