She is preceded in death by her husband, Ellie Pitts. She is survived by her children, Carol Neville (Joe) of Deatsville, AL, Brian Pitts (Stacey) of Pensacola, FL, and Sherrie Todd (Terry) of Deatsville, AL; sister, Mittie Day (Jim); grandchildren, Amber Schwindling of Rosedale, MD, Ashley McCullers of Pensacola, FL, Brian Hayden Pitts, Ethan Pitts of Pensacola, FL, Keegan Pitts, and Maverick Pitts of Pensacola, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Gearldine was a cherished mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and cherished her children. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy along with her nieces and nephews. She was a skilled crafter and loved to fill her spare time with sewing and quilting. She was the happiest when she was outside in her yard tending to and loving her flowers. Some of her most joyful times were spent with her sister and brother-in-law, Jim and Mittie Day. They were especially cherished people in her life.
A visitation for Gearldine will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville, 347 East Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067.
