She retired from Civil Service after fifty two years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Mary DeVaughn, and two sisters, Ruth Franklin and Linda Williams.
She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, James and Cindy DeVaughn; one nephew, Jason DeVaughn; three nieces, Lynne Blackburn, Debbie Arbelo, Vicki Akins; numerous grand nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 with Elders Jerry Abernathy and Richard Herring officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
