NEWMAN, Joe K., 72, a Prattville area resident, passed away Saturday April 7, 2012. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Wednesday April 11 followed by funeral services at 12:00 PM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with Pastor Joe Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in the Belser Cemetery in Goshen, Alabama at 2:00 PM. Mr. Newman was born March 12, 1940 to the late Joseph and Thelma Ballard Newman. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law; Lydia M. “Lisa” and Joe Hatcher of Hope Hull, two brothers; Robert Newman of Deatsville, Philip Newman and his wife Tootsie of Prattville, a sister; Lydia Myers of Fairhope, Alabama; three grandchildren, Cody, Madison and Laurren; and a host of grandchildren and other close family members. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
