She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Shepherd Johnson and Maggie Pearl Dennis; husband of 69 wonderful years, Leon D. Carroll; son, Roger D. Carroll (Deborah); and granddaughter, Jennifer M. Carroll. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Carroll Shearin (Sam); grandsons, Matthew Carroll, Brandon Shearin, Jonathan Carroll (Kristen) and Kevin Shearin; and four great granddaughters, Jazmine, Skyler, Emma, and Lucy Carroll.
Juanita was born in Montgomery, Alabama. She was a devoted military wife who enjoyed two tours with her husband and children in beautiful Alaska. She was interned with her late husband in a private burial at the Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama.
