Kathryn Hawk passed away peacefully in her home on September 30, 2025 at the age of 86. Kathryn was predeceased by her parents, Carrie Garner Moses and Will L. Moses, her husband Ernest Lamar "Buddy" Hawk, her brother Louie A. Moses and her stepdaughter Vivian Hawk Corley. She is survived by her nieces, Becky Moses and Peggy M. Thompson, and nephew L Ronald Moses. Also surviving are her stepchildren Leon Hawk (Grace), Roxanne Holland (Chuck) and Michael Hawk (Teresa), 4 grandchildren and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Kathryn was intelligent, kind, and generous. She was much loved by family and was always there supporting us with quiet strength and patience. She had a long and successful career with the Federal Bankruptcy Court as the Head Clerk, retiring as a G515. While she never chose to have children of her own, she became a second mother to the Hawk children and we loved her dearly. She
loved gardening, reading, music, and many dogs and cats over the years.
There will be no formal services but a casual celebration of life for family at her home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to any of the local Humane shelters in her honor.
