

Louise Champion Garner, 92, a lifelong Autauga County resident, passed away Sunday August 2, 2015 after a brief illness. Visitation was held Wednesday August 5th at 10:00 AM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial was followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Garner was born in the Independence Community on October 22, 1922 to the late John Parker Champion and Maude DeRamus Champion.
She enjoyed gardening, gospel music and spending time with her family and friends.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by three husbands; Leon Aldridge, Alvin Moye, Simuel Garner; two son, Michael Aldridge, Charles Justice; a daughter Kay Petersen; granddaughters, Renea Chavers, Angel Pate; eleven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by four sons and two daughters in law; Donald and Marie Aldridge of Jay, Fl., Charles and Gayle Aldridge of Century, Fl., Orman “Buster” Aldridge and Mark Aldridge, both of Pensacola, Fl., ; three daughters and a son in law, Helen Aldridge of Century, Fl., Lee Ann and Butch Tharp of Elmore, Al., Janet Pierce of Pensacola, Fl.; a brother, Norris Champion of Prattville; 17 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
